Laser Engraving and Cutting
Laser engraving is a procedure that vaporises materials into fumes in order to carve permanent, deep marks. By scraping away layers of the material's surface, the laser beam behaves like a chisel to create marks on the surface. To produce the intense heat necessary for vaporisation, the laser delivers concentrated amounts of energy to specific locations.
Laser cutting employs a powerful laser that is guided by computer numerical control (CNC) and optics to cut material. Usually, a motion control system is used in the process to adhere to a CNC or G-code of the design that needs to be cut onto the material.
