UV Printing
Ultraviolet radiation is used in UV printing, a type of digital printing, to dry or cure the ink as it is applied to the surface. The Ultraviolet lights follow closely behind the printer as it spreads ink on a surface, rapidly "drying" or "curing" the ink. With the direct printing possibilities offered by this technology, nearly any type of 3D media may be customised quickly and easily. This is one of the factors that packaging solution companies use ultraviolet printing. After being printed directly onto the substrate and being subjected to UV light, the UV ink instantaneously changes from a liquid state to a solid.
